Università di Pisa

Pisa has been the first Italian University to foresee the future relevance of computer science, and it has committed to its development early on: by supporting the building of the first computer designed in our country in the late Fifties of the last century, and by introducing the first course in Informatics in Italy in 1969. We thus consider an honor to be part of a project aiming at preserving the heritage represented by the efforts of  millions of researchers and practitioners around the world, in order to save their achievements and pass their legacy to the new generations.
