Introducing Maria-Chiara Prodi, our 12th ambassador

We are delighted to introduce our 12th ambassador, Maria Chiara Prodi. Maria Chiara is the artistic coordinator and deputy director of the production at the Opéra Comique, in Paris.

She is also strongly engaged in several networks for civic participation.

“I have been struggling with rare opera scores for the past 15 years, that’s why I immediately understood the importance of Software Heritage. Source code, as music sheets in the repertoire of Opéra Comique, changes to fit different use cases and needs to be tracked on different forms (full scores, vocal scores, different editions). Making available to a broader audience a score, or a piece of code, empowers people to rediscover and create”.

You don’t need to be a computer scientist to be an Ambassador of Software Heritage. Anyone can understand the importance of software in everyday life and hence the essential contribution of Software Heritage to society and future generations.

If you want to contact her or to learn more about our mission, she will be happy to answer you back: info at mariachiaraprodi.eu

And do not forget! We are looking for enthusiastic organizations and individuals to volunteer as ambassadors to help grow the Software Heritage community. If you too want to become an ambassador, please tell us a bit about yourself and your interest in the mission of Software Heritage.
