About Me
Claudia Bauzer Medeiros (PhD Computer Science - University of Waterloo, Canada) is a full professor at the Institute of Computing, University of Campinas, UNICAMP. She conducts research in open science infrastructures and scientific data management, particularly with challenges associated with data heterogeneity, volume, and complexity, for various types of real-world applications. President of the Brazilian Computer Society from 2003 to 2007, she has been a member of many commissions and national evaluation committees in Brazil. In her role as Member of the Coordination of the eScience and Data Science program at FAPESP, she led actions associated with open data/open science policies, including coordinating the construction of the state network of open research data repositories. She received several national and international awards for teaching, research, and initiatives to attract women to computing. Member of the board of WDS (World Data System, an official data management organism of the International Science Council). Commander of the Brazilian National Order of Scientific Merit, member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences, and fellow of the World Academy of Sciences (TWAS).  Holds two Doctor Honoris Causa from the University Antenor Orrego, Peru, and the University Paris-Dauphine PSL, France.
