Peter Wang is the Chief AI and Innovation Officer and Co-founder of Anaconda, where he drives the company's vision for open source AI technologies. He focuses on democratizing AI through Python, with expertise in edge computing, data privacy, and decentralized systems.

A respected voice in the open source community, Peter contributes to industry standards through his work with the Linux Foundation, Jupyter Foundation, and NumFOCUS (which he co-founded). He regularly speaks at global events and is a thought leader in emerging ecosystems like BlueSky.
Peter balances guiding Anaconda's innovation roadmap with active community engagement. Before founding Anaconda, he spent 15 years in software development across 3D graphics, geophysics, data simulation, financial modeling, and medical imaging.

As creator of the PyData community and conferences, Peter remains dedicated to growing the Python data science ecosystem and promoting data literacy worldwide.

Peter holds a BA in Physics from Cornell University.
